The Roper Rehabilitation Hospital,MUSC, Carolinas Rehabilitation and Spinal Cord Injury Research Fund (SCIRF) have joined together to create the Center for Spinal Cord Injury. The Center will serve the more than 1,000 people in the Charleston area living with spinal cord injury.
A One-Stop Site for Care
Navigating the medical system with a spinal cord injury can be difficult. Often patients find a fragmented system that does not always have the experience or right equipment to care for their unique needs.
The Center for Spinal Cord Injury combines a variety of specialists in one convenient location, giving patients convenient and easy access to preventive screenings and assessments by making only one appointment.

- Physician and nursing assessments
- Lab work
- PT/OT evaluation
- Preliminary looking and seating of wheelchairs
- Education sessions
- Rehabilitation navigator
- Case management
